Date Night Review-Wissota High Shores Supper Club (Chippewa Falls, WI)

Last week, Chuck and I ventured out on our first date night since summer :S The month of September is always a bit manic, but we managed to squeeze in a really fun birthday celebration combined with a much needed date night on the town last Sunday night. We traveled a one hour commute over to Chippewa Falls, WI. We always love trying new supper clubs as well. I had recently read about a newly opened supper club, the Wissota High Shores (which sits on lovely Lake Wissota).

We really enjoyed our night there! I can say it was one of the most affordable date nights we have had in awhile..and also REALLY good food to boot! Portions were also extremely generous.

I would HIGHLY recommend this cozy log cabin style supper club. As usual, I always suggest making reservations which we did online to make sure you snag a great table. WHS made this really easy with an online booking system.

When we walked in, we immediately loved the calming, rustic ambience. I felt so at home and comfortable. I liked the lake side views and the cozy, yet modern vibes of the decor.

We had our table for two and took our time looking over the large menu. I was impressed with the prices and the wide selection of choices. Every entree was also served with their AMAZING salad bar. We also got Old fashioned's and an appetizer of shrimp cocktail which we loved.

dinner menu-great prices!

For dinner, we went with steak. It was tasty and properly cooked which was great. Each entree also comes with your choice of a potato side (mashed potatoes, hash browns etc).

side of hash browns for me

For dessert, we went with cheesecake because this supper club uses one of our local favorites Josef's cheesecakes, as their supplier. This is a local favorite bakery for us, and we went with the Black Forest cheesecake on our date.

All in all, with this generous and delicious spread of food, our bill was only around $100 (not including tip). I have spent more at Olive Garden before. This place was so cute, homey, and affordable. We will definitely return for date night and it would be great for families too. It has all the supper club ambience and classic supper club menu items. Staff was hospitable and friendly, facilities were charming and fun! If in Chippewa and hungry, make the pit stop at Wissota High Shores (you won't regret it!)

Goodbye to WHS! We will return :)
